Use of Icon Fonts in Responsive Design

Icons speaks 1000 times faster than the simple text in an user interface screen that we wanted to be a creative and impressive one, among the business clients.

Here is an article about the importance of Icon Fonts in Responsive UI design, which is written by one of my friend, Mr. Johnson De Sathya Leo, who works as a Technical Lead in User Experience Design at HCL technologies.

Calculate the Center of the Circle using any two points on the Circle (chord) and radius

Calculate the Center of the Circle using any two points on the Circle (chord) and radius

This is the Java program I wrote as part of my research project in my post-graduation.  I missed to add this at my technical blog.  This little program has helped many users and received amazing response. Users have accessed this code  17312 times up-to this date @ planet-source-code.com.

Objective:

The purpose of the code is to calculate the center of the circle if any two points from the border of the circle is given, including radius also as an input. In other words, we can say, calculating the center of the circle using a chord. This will useful in any wireless (sensor) network project, particularly, if the user working in any network simulator, they used to work with nodes and edges (graph). In such case, if they want to estimate the location of the node, they can use this code.

Saravanan,

Thanks very much for posting this program.  I need to do this
operation occasionally and working through the algebra each time was
tiresome.  I’ve also solved it with geometry and a CAD program, but
much easier to run your program when I need the numbers.

Thanks,

Steve
